Coolio clip, real nice percussion. Would sound great with some more detail, fx and a bassline from hell. Maybee just use that crazy noise for like 4 beats, it would sound much more fun like that, rather than like going on for 16 beats.

Nice mood change at 0.27

No problems for me with the audio, apart from its hitting high in winamp, but thats just the exporting volume, just tone the volumes down, no huge problem.

Take it easy,

this sounds quite mature ;)
though, a bassline would do the trick
niiice :)

This sounds good man, it's not something I'd listen to 24hrs a day, but put it in a mix, and I'm banging like a madman

Niiiiiiice, I like it mate ;)

The kick definitely isn't clipping, but it does sound distorted when that one little sample plays over it every 4th beat. That's probably intentional though.

Not my cup of tea stylistically, but very well produced and banging.

I stand by me "the kick is clipping" remark.
dj-sean
If the kick is clipping then it's not detectable on my Sony MDR-V700 headphones at high volume.
alanzo
Unless you are a professional studio master technician, I would say you probably can not directly tell that the kick is clipping. I am not a master technician, but after hearing the track I felt the kick was clipping so I opened up in a wave editor and looked for clips to be certain, and sure enough there were quite a few on most every kick.
alanzo
Although this clipping is not detecable by the end listener (someone with little musical training) it is also not very professional.
dj-sean
Fair enough. I've heard a lot of clipped kicks that sound like though; this sounds fine.

sorry man i only been making music for 11 months
alanzo
Pretty good for 11 months - I've been doing it for 4 and a half years and there are many others on this forum that have been doing it much longer. This forum's purpose (as I see it) is to better your production skills.. i've been on here for 5 months and I've already learned a lot about EQing and such.. so definitly ask when your not sure about something because this would definitly be the place to do it.
