thanx guys.
and i got another question here.
if i want to learn beat matching. do i need a good mixer or good turntable? or both?
ps.as u guys can see i am new on board here..
but i have been watch this board for a long time.
i like to watch all the topics here.it's fun.
the only reason i seldom post msg here is that my
english is very poor....=(

Just to learn to beat match, all you need is two turntables, any mixer, a decent set of headphones, and a couple speakers. The type of mixer doesnt really matter. And it would be better to have pretty good turntables. Once you learn to beat match and actually start mixing the songs in is where a better mixer will come in.
If you plan on buying some equipment and are serious about learning and have the money, it would be a good idea to buy decent stuff in the begining...rather than get some crappy equipment you'll have to replace in a couple months.

yah ur english looked allot better than some of the kids i went to school with.
anyway yah don't worry about the mixer just yet, save up for a nice pair of decks. if you go super cheap, you may find that the beats will be matched, u sit back to listen to what you've acomplished and then one of the tables up and the beats are off. now that would drive any dj insane, a new one especially. |
