ha, better a liberal than an NDP :nervous: I mean come on, Paul Martin, John Manley or that other bitch? take your pick, i would have chosen Martin. The guy has been making the right moves so far, even if he hasnt been in office so long. I think he will be a better PM than Jean. From his recent moves, it seems like he's been doin' some planning before ;) |

Luckily most Americans aren't stupid enough to fall for that Republican Medicare scam:

For many low-income elderly people, they will actually have to pay more for prescription drugs under the new plan.

I want liberals to get off the wealthy's back. In case you don't know it ace, it's those same people that profide jobs for us. |
Ace?
Here's what all those kindly CEOs have been doing to...err I mean for the American people as of late:
SBC cuts 4000 jobs in Texas (after cutting 20,000 since 2001):
http://news9sanantonio.com/content/...t.asp?ArID=7489
Enron CEO and top executives lie about financial troubles and sell their stock before the company goes under (laying off tens of thousands of people around the world who also lose their life pensions):

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/1780075.stm
Levi Strauss plans to outsource, that is, send jobs to 3rd world countries without labor or wage standards, ~6000 jobs from US/Canada:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/recession...,681281,00.html
Those are the tip of the iceberg:
| quote: | NEW YORK (CNN/Money) - U.S. job-cut announcements rose in October to their highest level in a year, according to a report Tuesday by an outplacement firm that keeps track of job cuts.
U.S. businesses announced 171,874 job cuts in October, up 125 percent from September's level of 76,506, according to Chicago-based Challenger, Gray & Christmas. It was the greatest number of job cuts since 176,010 in October 2002. |

Haha I can't wait. It will be like the Kennedy/Nixon debates.

Hmm, nope not nearly "everyone." ;)
| quote: | | the american public truly isn't full of braindead idiots who are controled so easily by the media, bush will not get reelected |
If you changed "isn't" to "is," and "will not" to "will," that would probably be a correct assessment hehe.

Is Joe Lieberman from Connecticut really that much better than Bush?

I think i hurt my back. :p

Don't assume just because I'm from Connecticut I like Lieberman. He's a fence sitter who only makes decisions after he figures out which is the winning side. He is Jewish and has made it known that he unequivocally supports Israel and the tactics they use. Bottom line it will be cold day in hell b4 I give him my vote.
In general there isn't much separating the Republican and Democrat party. Both for the most part shape their policies around the interests of big business and the wealthy. Then they slap on window dressing to appease the average voter or raise controversial issues such as abortion to distract them from the real issues.
Unfortunately, Bush will be re-elected not based on his efforts to improve the conditions for the common man, but because he is perceived as confident winner who's patriotic machismo makes the public feel proud. Most popular leaders in history have used patriotic call to arms to win support to distract the public from domestic problems. Hitler used these tactics to perfection, using war and patriotism to nullify any decent.
Since Bush kicked ass in Iraq and the economy starting to recover I can’t see him losing. |
