Thats fair enuff man, I didnt think you had 'missed' these tunes, I just phrased my post badly - I know u have to cut it down some how - the heat list is very comprensive:) |

That's the hardest thing. Say we cut out a breaks track that like pat liked, then he complains, so we put it in in place of say a prog tune which sum others complain about, so we replace it with a trancier tune or harder or techier, and again people will complain. We're sure that the 5 best tunes overall are in that 60 somewhere, and we'll see when we have results how it goes, its just for stamper, neo, coup & Myself to see people moaning at how it's being done when we're tryingg to do it in the first place & run it as well as we can |

tbf we all know as the thrush comes will win, but that's liked by both armin & markus fans who seem to have the biggest 'gatherings' and omggggggggg's here :p
It is nothing more than opinion poll, but it's the kinda thing that should be done as fun and not taken as seriously, and when people bash us for trying, it makes us feel ty cos of it, cos we're not getting nething out of it for putting time & effort in |

Yeh I have to say that the polls are a fair reflect of the best tracks of the year, theres a variety of sub-genre tracks to suit all tastes. And lets face it, 2003 was an excellent year and everyone is gonna come up with tracks they feel shud be in it.
You've gotta cut something or else you'll have a million class tunes in the poll!! |

I'd say Coup Neo and Ian are three of the least ASOT-biased guys I know - they're just trying to span genres and get a general idea of what the whole forum finds to be the best and most influential tracks of the year.
Personally, that list is very far from what my top 60 would be, but I'm not going to piss and moan about it, I'll still give my input. |

well put, and by UWM too. personally i'd have had a lot more techy/harder/messy tunes, murder was the bass, alchemist, street carnival etc etc, but again I haven't complained about them not being in cos i know it's not what the best track is, but about seeing if we can run a mass vote well, and with over 200 votes already for each heat, it's doing very well imho |

well, let's see here, coup, ian, mr. stamper, and neo didn't pick these tunes
and i'm not bashing the poll
i'm just saying that it looks like most people who proposed their favorite tracks were ASOT people
so props to coup, ian, mr. stamper, and neo for doing this, but no matter, what (and ATRC will probably win), i'll take the results with a grain of salt (and it will be quite a large grain) |

It is a good success already then - the more people we have voting then the more prestigous the title of TA Track of the Year will be.
If Traffic was to win and TA went to Tiesto and said you have produced the TA track of the Year voted by say 60% of 2000 votes then it sounds pretty impressive to him and us:) |

hehehe i'm holding onto nothing for my choice :p My other 2 fave tunes haven't made the list so i don't mind |

Wouldn't that be funny for the amount of people around here who bash Tiesto :p
(I guess that is for his DJing skills though)
Personally I think Traffic is quality, though I take the piss out of Tiesto all the time for his mixing. |
