| How would I clean up and mp3 that has alot of static, interference. I have an mp3 that would sound clear, but there is a static that you can hear (it is extreamly noticalble). Are any programs out there that will pick up the static and take it out of an mp3? Let me know, it is something really important, pleease help ;) |

| you have asked the question that i have hoped someone would ask. i hope to god that there are programs out there that could do that. i dunno though, it would be hard to take out all the static and keep the quality where its good. i dont see how it would work. |

| Yep, I heard Sound Forge could "Filter" mp3's, some-1 was telling me about a program that can do this. I am know there is a way, I just need to know how. |

| Don't know about mp'3s but i believe cool edit has a wav editor that can remove these variations. U can see the actual "static" spikes in the wave and remove them. |

Hmm.... the thing is that the static is all through the set... It will take me forever to remove each static spike. Hmm.... thier must be a way.. |

i know that this program can do it but i don't know how.
we should ask some professionals.
there are too many filters and many settings there. |

My friend told me about a program out there that could do this. It's by the same guys who do Cubase VST.
It's called "Clean!"
If anyone can get their hands on it please PM me..
I can't find it anywhere.. |

Thats an awesome question: I've wondered about that, but put it to the back of my mind because I didn't think there was a way to do this - except maybe by an audio engineer. |

| I have a program called DartPro which does basically what you all are asking for. It basically goes through and cleans the entire wavefile of the frequencies that cause statics, pops, scratches, etc. It's the best thing I've ever used to accomplish this. It's not perfect, obviously, but I have used it to clean up shoddy live sets etc, and it made them sound alot better. I also have the program Clean, although I've never used it. |

| yeah it does...same way that you would go to take the 2.0 second gap between song out. right click then go over a few tabs and there are different filters, they can do lots! |
