what is the cost to get a record from the UK to the states?

im ordering them from above the sky records and I will probably only purchase 5! www.abovethesky.com. I live in Kansas City MO. No hurry on the delivery, Hopefully within a week or two

5 recods will cost u 12GBpounds(17.06 USD) plus 3GBpounds insurance(4.26 USD) minusVAT. I dont know how much VAT is, but it cant be much. So u have to cost of records(say 5 @ 5pounds apiece = 25 pounds), + Shipping (12 pounds) + Insurance (3 pounds)
so your 5 records are going to cost 40 pounds = 56.87 USD = 11.37 per record. Now thats approximate...but the price is right on what I pay for records in Canada.
Being in Kansas makes no difference. Do you pay more to send a letter down the street than to send it to NYC? nope. Its all the same. =) hope that helps

HOLY !!! Above the Sky has the quickest turnaround I have yet to see....christ....I ordered last night, and the records are already on the way...this is nuts..just nuts.

i order stuff from there all the time, the prices are in pounds, obviously, around 5-6pounds per vinyl and with shipping, it usually comes out to around the usual price we pay in North America... my most recent order was 5 records, cost 35pounds (with shipping), or around 50 dollars.
It took 10 days from the day I ordered it, to get shipped to Chicago.
...and this place has almost everything. |
