Just thought of this say a couple 100 people use a Apple Xserver to hold 1000 of recent sets sell them with permission from record labels and streaming audio stations but sold by mp3 form throughout a dedicated ftp server.
Price(s)/each:
Singles: 2 Euro/USD
60 minute (set): 5 Euro/USD
120 minute (set): 10 Euro/USD
240 minute (set): 15 Euro/USD
Special (sets): 20 Euro/USD
Old (before: 2003) (sets): $40 Euro/USD
Lifetime (membership): $20 Euro/USD
Platnium (membership/monthyly): $300 Euro/USD*

**Quality 192 kbps or 320 kbps**

I know I brought it up many times but it would be great to have a system up.

your problem lies in the fact that you are prob. basing this on mix cds and that the actual artist (or record label) will want a large cut of the profits if the mix is sold. i just read that for apple's itunes:
$.88 goes to the record label / artist
$.10 goes to the cost of running the site
$.01 goes to apple |

| onceler makes an important point. Steve Jobs has already said that his iTunes service isn't a money maker. They're just trying to break even. But in the process, they're hoping that iTunes will drive people to Apple to buy other things. (iPods, Macs, etc.) |
