Hey Guys,
Made a new tune.
It's HERE if you want to hear it.
I know it's not a big time trancer but I like it and I enjoyed making it.
Still learning how to make sounds in my VST so this is kind of experimental.
Cheers

Hey there man, you tune sounds not bad at all!
The percussion need some work tho... it sound abit flat, try adding some FXs to it, like reverb and tuny bit of delay and maybe even try compressing it. EQing your percussion can help aswell, just play with the effects you will see it will make the percussion sound alot fuller and pro sounding.
1:50 break, loved the acid sounding synth, the background pads sound cool.
Imo you should try making this break shorter, start building the other elemnts after 2 repiets of the melody.
Loved the rythem you got going there at the build up...
Finally when it all kicks in i really expected to hear some thing diffrent from this melody that you allready used at the break and build up.
You really overused it, make the tune sound abit repetitive.
But overall the tune is pretty cool.
Keep up the good work :) |

Yes, I got a bit frustrated with myself at that point as I wasn't actually sure what to do with it so it became a bit repetetive. I guess it comes down to lack of musical knowledge on my part.
Thanks for the comments though they are really helpful.
Cheers

Comments as I listen:
- Kick is pretty good but could have some more low end to it.
- Percs are good, but a little too simple. A few more layers would definitely be good.
- Cool synth at 1:50ish. I like the panning LP filter on it. This breakdown drags on though, shorten it up.
- As kreing said, you need more after that buildup. More synths would be good. Also, when the beat is in the filter you're using on that synth goes too low to the point where the synth is pretty much inaudible.
You have a good foundation here, but I'd say the track sounds only about 75% finished. What I'd suggest, aside from beefing up the kick and bassline a little, is working with more synths, throw a few stabs in, and come up with a counter melody to go with the one you currently have. Lots of potential, keep up the good work. |

Wow thanks guys,
I have actually learned a lot just listening to you guys and reading reviews. So thank you so much.
I just ordered myself some new VSTs too (FM7 being one) as at the moment I only have a Z3TA+, good synth though.
Have you guys got any recomendations with regards to Drum sounds?
Many thanks and kind regards
