Take some time to relive the memories on Saturday December 20, 2003, as we turn back the clock for the first Industry reunion. This website has been constructed to provide you with all the information related to the upcoming reunion event, and other historic information you may find interesting.
In collaboration with Smirnoff Experience, Industry, one of Canada’s most legendary nightclubs will return for one night only for a massive reunion party. Industry nightclub was Toronto’s pre-emanate dance venue during the explosive ‘electronica’ dance scene that peaked during the late 90’s. Industry’s original owners including Gavin Bryan, Daniel Bellavance, Mario J and Matthew Casselman have reunited for the first time in over 3 years in partnership with Smirnoff Experience to produce what will be one of the most anticipated events of the year. The long-awaited Industry reunion will include Industry residents Matt C and Kenny Glasgow from Toronto on four turnatables. Industry international DJ favorites returning will include: Chicago’s Derrick Carter, New York City’s Cevin Fisher, and Montreal’s Mark Anthony from the Black & Blue. To cap off the night in true Industry style, Chicago’s underground diva Celeda will perform live her Danny Tenaglia anthem “Music is the answer" and "Be Yourself".
The reunion will unite many of the original Industry staff with members of the Smirnoff Experience team. Industry will transform the Kool Haus complex like never before, bringing back many of the elements of you grew to love at 901 King street west. Careful attention will be given to deliver a unique atmosphere, sound and lighting experience. Industry props, photos and video footage will be incorporated throughout the venue to further enhance the vibe you have grown to miss. Newton Moraes Dance Theatre and DMF Entertainment will be spontaneously stirring up the dance floor, with atmospheric impressions inspired by Industry decorator Mychol Holtzman.
We would like to thank all of the past DJ’s, performers, managers, promoters, bartenders and bar staff that contributed to Industry over the years. The magic would not have been possible to create without each and every one of your efforts. Special thanks to all of our suppliers for making it possible for us to deliver a world class club night each week. This reunion ushers in a new era of Industry and we would like to thank our partners and sponsors for making it possible. In addition we would like to thank Digital Propaganda, Akio Designs, Hand 2 Hand promotions and our publicist Daniel Paquette for helping us get the word out. Anyone up for this? I was going to, until my reduced fell through... no way I'm paying $40 for this... the lineup isn't all that special in my opinion... If I can weasel in another way, I might try to go...
Although seeing all the old crew I used to run with in one place would be nice, I see the same peeps @ System for major events anyway... |
