It's horrid and blasphemous, just like FC's remix of Barber's Adagio. It does not convey the intended emotions of the original masterpiece by Ravel by changing the whole meaning to some fluffy gouda vibe. Ferry should stick with the electro stuff and leave the classical remakes to the producers that have respect for the original works.

ATB remix of adagio >>>>> ferry remix of adagio

Impressionism and trance doesn't really mix in well with me. Although I absolutely adore Ferry's mix of Adagio, this follow up did'nt really do anything for me.
Maybe if Ferry made the remix darker and more bleak as the original was inteneded to be, he may have came up with something special, but those happy go go harmonies are so... hmmm... non appealing :wtf:
The film clip is great though :D

Agreed. Ferry's remix of Adagio For Strings is the most overrated trance song in history. Although I do like his Ravel's Pavane remix better neither are anywhere near to his best remixes.

I totally disagree. Both of these mixes are high quality and works very well. I think the "emotions" are still there, even though the mixes differs a bit from the originals doesn't mean it's bad. Ferry's Adagio Remix is actually my all time favourite tune, and his Ravel's remix is also top stuff. But new? Not exactly........

I've hated both of FC's William Orbit remixes for how long now....4 years? I'm sorry, I knew and played the originals way before I even knew what electronic music was, and these remixes just don't do it for me. In my own personal opinion, he doesn't do these pieces justice. I'm not a blind Ferry Corsten hater, I love his Moonman and a lot of his older stuff, but this? Bleh. Ravel and fluff do not mix...
