I broke out my old cds today...

I forgot how awesome Paul Van Dyk's Out There And Back album was...amazing...every track is good...I wish there were more trance cds like this these days.

I also was listening to Crystal Method - Vegas...another kickass cd, not one bad song on it...

And right now I'm jamming to Hybrid - Wide Angle (Not really that old, but Finished Symphony still OWNS!)

Anyone else done this recently? :D

Wider Angle is better because it includes live angle with wide angle. My copy is happily signed...hehehe..tho it's great to play

GU011,012,013,014 and 015 are great

Cream Resident by Paul Oakenfold is great

the original 1995 release - Journey By DJ's - 70 mins of deejay madness by coldcut was re-released...i love it

Leftfield - Leftism is still great

-since It is reviews, I'll add reviews to each..hehehe

Wider Angle is amazing with the cool live angle, live from GC in sydney (parts at least). Hybrid at their best on cd 1 (wide angle)
Gu011 - Nick Warren in prog trance mode
Gu012 - Seaman is prog trance mode
gu013 - Sasha at his greatest...best gu cd bar none
gu014 - Digweed before the true prog lead (gu019 and on basically)
gu015 - Emerson on a disco house, tech house and techno and house groove...nasty as

Journey's by dj's...nothing matches it...top 3 compilations of all time, so many styles, so different, so COLDCUT

Resident by Paul Oakenfold - What made me a legend at cream into 2 cd's with fake crowd noises added in, sounds real tho.

Leftism - So ahead of it's time, a legendary piece of music. Released in 1995 and still amazing. If you ask any dj or music journo, top 4-5 albums...this ends up as top 4-5 in 95% of the cases.

Old Cds mmmmmmm....?? I have been getting SO many old cds lately, buying them second hand off ebay!

Firstly I agree that wider Angle with the 2nd cd it is excellent, and you can get it on amazon.co.uk for dirt cheap if you live in the UK

Cds I have got that I have been listening to
GU 004 - Oaky - haven't got a chance to listen to this yet but its on my "to do list", any thoughts on it anyone?
GU007 - Oaky - I am in love with this CD :p
GU013 - Sasha - Amazing too.
Also just arrived today twas Oaky - Travelling so I am looking forward to listening to that:D
BT - ESCM album is an oldish album which I regularly listen to along with Chicane - FFTMC (One of, if not my fav album ever)

Will have to check out the "Journey's by dj's" cds, thanks!:)

tho if you hate coldcut...avoid the cd because the last person to do that...cried about it on ta.

gu007 was a disappointment..i have it...great tracks but no real flow..head for gu004

Now there's a classic CD, back in the days when MoS released good CD's.

Just bought Leftfield - Leftism, after reading strong encouragement on these very boards.

Listening to all 20 odd of my Gatecrasher back catalogue systematically, they are damn fine potted histories of trance.

I really like GU:007 it was the second proper dance compilation i bought (after Tranceport 1), and im still well impressed by it, love the D & B fix. Deff my fave GU but i havent heard all of them.

Also been listening to Tranceport 2 mixed by Dave Ralph on my MD player, really like the Tranceport series, this one is probably my second fave after Oakie's.
