Clubs In Boston?!

Hey all,
I have a few questions. I currently go to school in Boston, Ma. Do any of you know of some good clubs that play trance that are in the city? Any recommendations for any certain ones?

hey man,
i'm a student in vancouver but i'm currently in boston for the holidays visting my fam...i've never been to avalon (19+ club and i just turned 19) but i hear it rocks, they say it's the only club worth going to in Boston :p
And what's more...Avalon is bringing in FERRY CORSTEN :eyes: for new years eve, and it'll be open till 4 am (usually it's only open till 2). tickets are $60 on next ticketing but you can bet your ass i'm going to be partying there to kick off 2004, come on down and join the fun! :) |

| Awesome club... I've only been there once, but i was definately impressed. Beautiful women, nice setup, good DJ (PvD).... drinks are bad adn watered down, but thats pretty much a universal club standard. You'll have fun. Corsten wouldn't be my 1st choice for NYE, but i'm sure u'll have a blast. |

avalon is the way to go in boston. its on lansdowne street, right behind the green monster of fenway park. lansdowne st. has a few other smaller clubs on it that arent too bad either like axis, and karma. avalon gets the big djs but if you want to mix it up there are some other clubs depending on what your into. i've been to avalon a bunch of times and its always fun but $$$.
is there a roxy in boston? i've heard people mention it but never been. |

my bad about the wrong street info.... i knew the Fenway was involved somehow.... Boston is by far the most confusing city. |

avalon is really the only club in boston for trance... there is a roxy in boston, but it's not the same as the one in nyc. if you are feeling more of a house/international vibe, check out aria on thursdays and venu on fridays... awesome college crowd... i.e. hot college girls :D i went to school there for 4 years and just graduated in may. :(
anywho... avalon is a cool place for trance. nice light show, good sound, decent club.

| avalon is definitely your best choice. if you'd like to see lots of *barely* 18 year old hotties, and some half-way decent house and club music, try out Matrix too on Tremont street. definitely a little kid club compared to avalon, but can be fun for a night every now and then. |

| i'm from Boston and been to Avalon over 100times... the atmosphere is kinda 'i'm baddass get out of my way' but its quality music, AMAZING EV sound system, good jocks and the works. Axis right next door is a smaller venue aprx. 500 person, a lot of underground progressive/tribal & house over there. that has a very underground vibe. Roxy is more top 40 now, with DJ Skribble holding a monthly residency(i think still) there. Umm... there isn't much else, there is club Karma which is like a block down from Avalon, and they play harder stuff, but a great bar and cool lounge area. :) i'll be in town from the 22nd to the 31st, let me know if your heading out. cheers - Anthony |
