Winamp 5 (pg. 2)

read the winamp forums.... winamp 5 is really just winamp 2 but with fancy, winamp 3 type stuff added.... just get the LITE version of WA5 and it'll run just as good as 2.x
i had to format 2 days ago, so i had no choice but to get winamp 5... works fine for me... but really, if you're already using 2.91, no sense in upgrading... if it ain't broke, don't fix it, =P |

| I think i'll stick with 2.91, Winamp3 and 5 doesnt even suport those old visualization plugins or the shoutcast client plugin. |

Why not? Just because the Winamp site does not have it for download? That doesn't mean that you can't find it on another site. I'm going to stay loyal to 2.91 for awhile until I hear some better remarks about it. |

| i switched to the winamp5 beta about two months ago (when it was first mentioned here). i have no complaints at all, far better then winamp3 for sure, and still way ahead winamp2.x |

meh... too lazy to look... but for anyone who wants winamp 2.x, there's the http://www.winampheaven.net site....
i'm not for or against winamp 5... i just have it, and its working just fine... it only has to do ONE thing, play mp3... and it does it just fine, =P. |

| winamp 2.91 still does everything i need it to, so i dont feel like bothering with a newer version. why fix it if it aint broke? |

| I've got Winamp 2.81 .. D/loaded Winamp 3 once, and gave me all kinds of problems.. so I went back to my loyal 2.81.. heavent changed it ever since, and as it goes.. I wont for a time, until something extraordinar comes out. |

| it seems alittle bloated compare to 2.95 but less than 3. it takes alitte longer for it to laod and feels the same as the 2.9x. |

hoe do you get rid of gap between tracks when playing continuous
mixed cds with winamp?. I get gaps when playing retail mixed cds. |

| one feature i'm really starting to like in 5 is the global hotkeys... i dunno if there was a plugin or something for 2.x, but global hotkeys are really useful... i usually listen to my mp3s while playing games and stuff and now i can control winamp from anywhere... |
