Noone started this so i decided to throw my hand in.
Takeover @ Surface Nightclub in Ottawa Friday Dec 19
DJ Mad - Wow. Very good. I can see why he is one of the top DJ's in Montreal (so says the flier). VERY clean. nice song selection (though i did not recognize a single tune)
S4 - Hard as usual, nice set from the bit i heard. Wish i had a chance to catch up with him
Hashek - Nice good hard solid set. nice guy too! See why he has his own show.
SIN - Seemed quite shakey, LOTS of EQ. er...well fading. beats were off, but played a few good tunes
The Dukes (House) - WOW. these guys suprised me. VERY solid. The mixed were on, what 4 hands on tables and a mixer can do vs. 2. Nice stuff from them. "Toronto's Crasy -Genre Tech-House DJ Team" Very true!
VH3 - Best set by far. Solid mixing and more my style, epic trance. ATRC nice to here in a small venue and a few others. Too bad his set was only 45min long at 5:15 in the morning. Oh well. His show is 12-2am on CKCU 93.1fm or www.ckcufm.com if you get a chance to check it out. Gotta thank him for the VIP passes too!

aww S.I.N. wasn't that bad.
VH3 was definately the hype of the night, glad we stayed 'til 6am to see that set, for sure. CKCU 93.1 friday nights 12-2am
Hashek was killer, you can check him out with Fil-E Blunt on REM CHUO 89.1 FM friday nights from 12-2am
If you ever have a chance to see the Dukes it's seriously worth checking out. |
