ok first of all, a big YOU to the LSC promoters or whoever stated Satoshi would spin for 4 hours.
but then again, we know they're a bunch of lying peckers, and i knew he wasn't going to be on for 4 hours...
2nd of all. Satoshi's 2.5 hour set was the BEST ever... I have to say this was the best clubnight ever..for me. I got a cd signed by homeboy Tomiie, and also got a pic with him. And he was a fairly friendly guy..
as for the set...energetic..i dont know how to describe... bit progressive, bit houseyish, maybe a few hints of techno in some tracks...all i know is that the music was trancey and i was just groovin with my eyes closed most of the time!
as for homeboy Tomiie, he kind of pulled a Paul van Dyk when PvD comes to seattle. No emotion, just stands there and displays a Mona Lisa smile every half hour or so. Thats fine though, cos the music, and the atmosphere was killer. the sound was okay, the bass distorted a couple:D of times, but wasn't too loud cos i could hear just fine the next day. oh, i was really drunk off of pre-funk tequila shots and overpriced LSC gin&tonik.
sorry no pics in digital, but my one-time-use camera took some awesome prints!

outside of Yoji... entertainers, Japanese DJs are not... quite honestly, yall need to check out DJ 19, IMO he is a much better Japanese act than Satoshi... |
