Here’s a tip: if you’ve got a little allegedly illegal business going on, don’t call the cops when you run into trouble. The tables turned on an Australian man who called the police recently, when he ended up getting arrested himself. He phoned officers to say that robbers were attempting to get into his home and nab his pot plants. And when authorities got to the house, they found four men trying to steal the cannabis buds that were growing in two rooms. So they arrested the alleged would-be thieves along with the 23-year-old owner of the house, who was eventually charged with illegally farming 16 marijuana plants. "He was calling from underneath his bed," a police spokesman said. "I don't know what he was thinking. Perhaps he was smoking too much of his own product." |
