The UNLV Dept. of Environmental Health and Safety is offering a free Fire
Extinguisher training class to all faculty, staff, and student assistants.
This class will be given in the Campus Services Building training room
#164, and will be approximately one hour in length, including hands-on
operation of a fire extinguisher. If you have ever desired to increase
your level of safety knowledge and learn the operation of a fire
extinguisher in an emergency, please avail yourself of this training. The
training will be given at 10:00 a.m. on January 15th and 9:00 a.m. on
January 29th. Classes will be limited to 15 at a time.
seriously, most teachers at a university have a PhD. something I hope to have in 3.5 years, but they do not know how to use a freaking fire extinguisher. The thigns are made so they are painfully obvious to use. I am sure there are technics (sp on purpose) to using them, but come on, pull pin, aim at base of fire, squeeze.
I am will not be attending, but if someone would like to and cannot make it I am for hire to go and take detailed notes along with video. (my rates are not cheap). |
