sorry if theres another thread, never saw one tho and with the search function down im not about to scroll thru page after page to look..
just picked this up today as one of the bedrock50 releases, love the presentation on the vinyl..
anyway, to quote the cover,
"Another 'Bootleg' turned official release, Grayarea have put together a superb breaks cut of Bedrock's most recent production on the label, 'Emerald'.
Emerging as one of the biggest house tracks of last year, 'Emerald' received remixes from Charlie May, Filterheadz as well as Bedrock themselves.
A Massive low end and deep breaking hook, Grayarea's Speakeasy remix announces their debut with Bedrock Records in some style.
There's no messing around, it's all about the breaks and they've kept the scale of the outstanding original in this layered, skillfully handled remix"
couldn't say it better myself :) keeps the beautiful melody from the original (nick muir's keyboard skills at work again?) and layers over some sick breaks, definitly some of the best work from grayarea and just re-enforces they're presence as some of the best breaks producers around. |
