Electronica Hall of Fame - Albums, Mixes, Singles...

I'm trying to compile a list of the classic electronic albums and mixes, and even the singles that have been a revolution in electronic music.
If anyone could chime in with what they think is a classic album or mix, please do! Just please say if it's an Album, Mix or Single.
I guess I will start off with mine:
Crystal Method - Vegas (Album) - Part of the Big Beat Techno Revolution of the 90's with hits like Trip Like I Do and Get Busy Child.
Prodigy - Experience (Album) - Revolutionary album brought Jungle to the fore-front, had the all-time classic One Love.
Paul Van Dyk - Out There and Back (Album) (Trance) - An amazing 2 CD album that took listeners on a Journey through Paul Van Dyk's style of trance. Classics such as Travelling and We Are Alive were featured on this album.
Massive Attack - Mezzanine (Album) (Trip-Hop/Downtempo) - Not much to say, except that this is one of the best downtempo albums created to date. Definately takes you on a journey that you will never forget.

Kraftwerk. Not sure which album, probably Computer World or Tour De France, but since they basically invented electronic music as we know it, they deserve some credit.
Not sure what else.
By the way, NIN didn't define industrial. Industrial has been around since the late 70's and was defined by stuff like Kraftwerk, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten, KMFDM, and Front 242. |

A few more ideas:
If you want Classic, you have to throw in Global Underground 013 - Sasha - Ibiza and Juno Reactor - Beyond The Infinite. Energy 52 - Café Del Mar. Simply because it was and still is such a massive song. Orbital - Halcyon + On + On is also a huge classic tune, along with Robert Miles - Children.
Throw in Vicious - Turkish Bazaar 2002 (Club Mix) for good measure. |

Tony De Vit as a DJ and producer, he played a large part in defining Hard House.
Carl Cox for introducing the three-deck idea in 1988 (the summer of Love).
Josh Wink for playing a large part in the beginnings of acid house.
Ritchie Hawtin for being one of the Techno pioneers.
The Orb for their massively influential single "A Huge Ever Growing Pulsating Brain That Rules From The Centre of the Ultraworld"
You gotta mention the likes of "Kool" Keith Herc and Grandmaster Flash for basically introducing the idea of DJ's as we know them.
Afrika Bambataa for practically shaping the sound of modern music as we know it.
Hybrid - Finished Symphony (Single) An excellent merging of classical and break-trance genres.
Underworld - Dark and Long (single)
I think you should mention Paul Oakenfold's essential mixes of 1999, those were all phenomenal and epitomized the trance genre for that year.
DJ Tiesto - Magik 6 (album)
DJ Shadow - Endtroducing (album)
Umm...more will come to me later, this is all off the top of my head. |

QBert - Wave Twisters, Episode 7 Million: Sonic Wars Within the Protons.
Explores the realm of turntablism in album format (pretty much the first time it was done)... very interesting
I can't really think of anything else that somebody else hasn't already mentioned. I noticed some people are just listing stuff they "like"... tsk tsk |

I would have to add Daft Punks album "Homework". Gave House music at the time a needed shot in the arm IMHO.
Also Prodigy's album "The Fat of the Land". Like tc-fan said "which IMO change the way of electronic music", or at the very least changed the way people viewed it. |
