arguments 4 trance bein the best??

hey ppl can u help me out.
all my mates love indie rock type of music(which i like 2) but they h8 trance whereas we all view it as awesome.
so what can i use 2 make trance sound betta??in other words arguments 4 trance (or if u like arguments against rock/indie)

| trance speaks for itself why its the best.. if someone doesnt get it through listening to it then they are not gonna get it through u telling them.. and whats best for u is not whats best for someone else.. theres no point in arguing.. u cant press trance like its a religion!! its quite annoying. u wouldnt want someone who thought heavy metal was the greatest music ever try to press that on u. |

i agree with theeyesofdarkness people have there own opinions, likes and dislikes, as much as i'd love to try to persuade someone 2 take an interest in trance, it wouldnt be right. if they like it they like it if they don't they don't. (they'll learn to though heheh!)

ya, i don't think u can convince *anyone* that trance (or any other music) is better than another just by telling them! :p
...they gotta *feel* the same about it before they'll consider it at all...so just tie them up infront of some pumpin' system, and play the whole loveparade at full volume until their ears bleed :D:D:D!!!
hehehe...but yeah, u ain't gonna convince anybody by arguing :(:(:( |

I think you fall in love with trance as soon as you hear it....same with any other kind of music really....you can't convince anybody to change their preference really....
This one girl I was having a conversation with about music, was telling me about a study that she read about how people have a different internal rhythm, and perhaps that is why u find music that u feel in touch with.........pretty interesting....who knows if its true...
but i do know trance is the most amazing genre of music in my eyes |

well id have to agree with what the previous people have said, to each their own.....BUT, if someone tries to tell you trance sucks, just do the following:
1)look confused for a few moments
2)laugh histerically at them and then.....
3)BEAT THE LIVING OUT OF THEM :toothless :p :p :toothless :D:D
4)walk away calmly

| ok but i didnt really mean it like that.....i mean how 2 fight back when some1 degrades trance as bein a typical bum bum beat occasionally with a lyric over the top like "we gonna work it out" all the way thru...im sick of ppl takin the piss..i dont wanna argue so theyll love trance cos they wont i know..but how can i argue back persuasively that its good?? |

tell them that trance is music of the mind... it comes straight from the artists mind without the limitations of conventional instruments...
the least that'll do is confuse them :) but if that doesnt work just tell them to off because trance will eventually rule the planet, cuz its the music of the future.

| say to them exactly wot i said to you in my first post in this thread, you can't choose someones music for them so if they are taking the piss out of your musical preference they are obviously wankers with no respect for your interests |
