From getting the tiesto dvd,i feel in love with the roc project - never (filterheadz remix)(got the vinyl for xmas :p)

so i was out the other day in my local record store and i found ralphie b - massive.id only heard the original but not the filterheadz remix and when i played it,OMG.i near died.it amazed me.their remixing talents are outstanding.they made the track so much more better than i expected.

i love their 'tribaly' percussion sound along with soft synths and was thinkin that these types of tunes would sound excellent at the start of a live set.

can any of guys recommend me any other tunes like the ones mentioned above and also some more excellent productions by Filterheadz please.i know im very late on them, but for some reason, just never got round to fully looking into them.glad i did now!

thanx in advance,

P.M. :)

Yeah, the Filterheadz have amazing talent. Some of their best work is their remixes of Minimalistix. It was almost impossible not to hear one of thier songs in a set during 2002 but they've been a little more quiet the later half of this year.

Anybody have news on some of their recent releases or stuff that is soon to be released?

going to look out for the remixes of struggle for pleasure and close cover.

the remix of ralphie b - massive was unreal :eyespop:

Barraka - Song to The Siren (Filterheadz Undercurrent Vocal Mix) :eyes::eyes: :eyespop: :eyespop:

how would u define their style? to me it sounds almost like tribal progressive trance? :conf:

hmmm... they could be defined that, but I consider under definitions (then i mean such as tribal-, hard-, melodic- etc) to be more of a personal opinion than a fact. They produce techno when they're working with Tomaz and mostly progressive when they're on their own, I would also say that they have a tribalish sound to their tunes.

Sunshine is an excellent track --they used the same bassline on the Never remix :)

check out their remixes of obsession, song to the siren and their orange 3 stuff

i always thought their style was like tech-trance...

Yea, I was flipping through my vinyl collection and I pulled out "Whatever Girl - Activator (Filterheadz Dub)" This tune surely goes to show how great the guys really are.

yeah, they are good, the only bad things is that everything sounds the same,

best remixes imo is:
minimalistix - close cover (filterheadz remixes)
green velvet - la la land (zzino vs. filterheadz remix)
and of course the roc project feat. tina arena - never (filterheadz "luv tina" remixes) , for this one i prefer the dub tho
