Going to see the destiny crew (Dr. Trance, OS/2, etc) would be an honour for any long time raver. And I believe the jungle locals are some of the best jungle DJs in the world. Best party on New Years... |

I wouldnt agree that NYE at guv is packed. Its a pretty decent party. As for the Gino situation: There arent allot of Ginos there. Just becuase its NYE and people want to dress nice does not make it a gino thing.
Mark Oliver plays a wicked set on new years too.

i TOTALLY disagree about that last guv comment. It has nothing to do with the way people dress. The whole Gino attitude is what I'm talking about. When I go out I don't like to be pushed out of the way by some muscle head. I don't want to have to watch my girlfriend be hit on by every low life in the place. I want to be able to talk to people I've never met before. I wan't to be around people who are there for the music, not to get laid, or get high, or whatever else. You'll find a crowd of people there for the music at the destiny party. You will not at the guv. Sure there will be some people at the guv for the music, but they will be so far outnumberered it won't even begin to be humourous.

| I am sick and tired of the big party, I think something smaller would be better. Trying to find your friends for an hour or to get to the other room is not my idea of having fun at New Years. Why don't you guy's go check out SYSTEMS or PULSE. |

I don't know...we prolly gonna end up checking some other places out as well. Maybe we'll stay at Destiny till like 3, 4 and then go somewhere else. SYSTEM or PULSE sure would be an option, if the line isn't too long of course.
Heh i'm pretty surprised about the lack of positive comments on Guvernment. Isn't this suppposed to be a place to go. Toronto's all famous club? |

Guvernment is the place to be, but not on new years with no good dj lineup except mark oliver.
I rather go and see mark on regular saturday nights, its not that i dont like him or anything, but pay 50$ for a night of mark when i see him any other saturday night for 10$
I havent seen pulse , so i cant say much about it, systems..i dont know, i wouldnt go there on new years.
VIVA is going to be good, but too far off and the other thing the girl i am dating doesnt dig trance. oh well i will end up at some small bar with her.lol:toothless :stongue: |

Ok, I went to Viva's Christmas Bash party this year (WOW, WHAT A BOMB!) which was awesome!!:eyespop: 90-95 percent of people were Asian (as usual), IT WAS PACKED BY 2 AM (AS USUAL!!!) and the music was great (AS USUAL). So cut that crap about "majority-of-the-crowd-was-white", as I've been there several times now, and every time there's at least 70% of clubbers who are Asian, which is not so bad, except for the fact that they smoke a lot (weed and cigarettes), there's hardly any hot girls to looks at (I am attracted to white girls only, almost noone to party with (unless healthy bunch of TAs show up) and when the ventilation is not working too well (happened the last time), the packed crowd and the thick smoke (from smokers) really makes it hard to party.
Great sound / lazer / video system they got though, awesome club - more white people should go, that would be awesome, especially more HOT white girls ..... :eyespop: |
