mmmmm just back... the starting djs played amazing... macguyver, xtronic (i'm guessing) since he was posting that hes starting it up, and some others were awesome at exit.... it got kinda cheezy towards the end.... i met up with some friends from Long Island and Jersey... did my tribal dancing and string glowsticking.... owned the dance floor with some friends (most of the people were dance n00bz); chylled with my girl... checked out the other rooms and stuff.... i would say overall it was okay... kinda sucked towards the end =(....
exit is dying =( come to arc ;)
Tracks I remember being played:
Underworld - Born Slippy
Ferry Corsten - Punk
Origine - Sanctuary (Harry Lemon Remix)
some cheez towards the end... some good house in the beginning :)

Serge,
By ur topic title I guess u mean Live@exit not arc.
But anyway, turns out I didnt open up, I played second.
Went on at 11:30, and got off around 12:15. It was my first time dealing with such a massive system, and it definitely took some getting used to (lets just say my mixing wasnt exactly on point).
Nevertheless, I am content with getting some experience with a large system, nothing compares to playing with the infamous Rane mixer. Also, a side note, after talking to a few of the guys i was playing with, one of them has been playing for 7 yrs and the other for 11 yrs(i have been playing for about one and a half).
So at least I didnt feel that bad after a few volume screwups.
Some tracks I played:
Satoshiee Tomie - Scandal in New York
Saeed and Palash - Can I get a bump
Industry - Release Me
Victor Calderone - Deep Dark Jungle
Empyrical Labs - Turtle Beach |

yea second was the best... not just cuz u played but at around 12ish was when the awesome music was flowing and I was tryin get people dancin... if you looked out on the dance floor.... if you had time; there were 2 guyz doin crazy tribal dancin.... one wearin white ufos and white coat.. one wearing black ufos and black coat and black visor... i was the black ufos ;) mmmm hope to see you play again soon :) the warmup owned the special guests; too bad nobody was dancing in the beginning.... there was like barely anyone there till 2 a.m. |

I think MacGuver came on at 1, thats when I left Exit.
How was he btw?
Also, I did see you(black ufos).
The crowd seemed prodominatly asian(like a good 80 %) right?
Not that I mind.
Also I took a few pics of the crowd, I'll post it lata, see if we can spot you in them. |

you rocked the crowd man... i can't believe nobody was dancing when you were on... like the crowd just started moving... it was lame... in my opinion you did play the best set... the other djs have been spinning many yearz; but you definitely owned... no cheezy mainstream stuff if you know what i mean ;) ferry corsten - punk?!? christ; rofl CHEEEEEEZZZZZ... yea the crowd was mostly asian (filled with old asian men)   great performance; i hope to see you in future clubs; any word on future gigs you are playing at?
P.S. great tracklist

I appreciate it man...
I am mostly around Brooklyn, since that is where I used to live and that is where I usually hang out, so I am slowly trying to branch out to the city (where most of the clubs are, and where this music is accepted).
I do have a friday night residency at a lounge/bar in bk, but I am forced to play mostly mainstream stuff, because bk crowds wont dance to anything else. Nevertheless, the gig pays nicely, and we all know djing is expensive, so for now its a nice job. |
