How old do you have to be before they treat you like an adult?
Mine are driving me mad. i've been here three days and i'm here for two more weeks :( i want to go home!! |

you will never not be their child, so to some extent they will always treat you as the child.
However i found it to be when i moved out and never went back. Now i don't see my folks very often but when i do it seems to be on an adult level.
Although if i discuss any of my plans for my future with my folks, they do seem to cast a very discerning eye over it all, to the point where i would rather not ask for their opinion. Then again that may be a thrown back of me being a child and not wanting their opinion thinking that they are just butting in.
It is all about perspective really, and time. |

to be fair, telling ur folks ur gona become a trance chick and travel all over the country/world going to all night raves watching the lasers go mad with ur eyes coz ur so ed out ur face on drugs, only to finish there and go to an after party and smoke more weed than she'll dig up on a sunday, isnt going to get a very positive reaction :p |

My parents are pretty cool. My dad treats me like an adult, and so does my mum, although she still thinks i'm a kid, i'm sure. Probably because she's my mum though.
I still get nagged a lot because I never get off my arse and do anything (when i'm at home that is).

i have never crashed.
