First off...the vocals IMO are excellent...that part is subjective and a matter of preference.

PLEASE SEND ME THIS TUNE when you're done.

very nice track indeed ;) but i think the progression to your first lead takes a little bit to long but the melody is sweet and holds its own :gsmile: i dont think you need to lose the vocals i think they need to be spiced up nice track m8 8.5/10

Nice track st... out of curiosity, what programs do you use (any hardware?), and what programs do you use for your drumloops etc.... thx!;)

this sounds really really sweet! love the melody. the vocals dont bother me, but are not necessary. very well produced. keep it up, great track!

on this particular track i used no drumloops, they're all hits.. Logic/Mac baby. no other way to play ;)

Obviously i can have two versions, so that the vocals dont play in the dub, so just for now "imagine" it without the words ;)

like everything else in life, you can pick it up quickly, but the more you learn, the more you will see you have yet to learn... that's what i love about it.

this track was done for the most part in a day and a half. I was loving my muse that weekend ;)

Track owns...with or without the vocals, and doesnt matter what the title is...this song is label material.

great track, my only critique of it would be the vocals, theres nothing with having the vocals in the song, although they arent necessary but maybe something more hmm...human, overall great track, good luck with it

seantyas
hmm the labels that have gotten back to me thus far seem to have the same response on the vocals (grrr :) ) I have a change or two to make this weekend, so maybe I'll just mute that track for now, and see how it goes.

As I said before, I think that it's a cracking track that deserves to be signed.
However with the vocal. First up, male vocals are not popular in trance music full stop. This is an opinion that is shared with all the DJs I know (And I know stacks of them).

I think the problem with the vocal is that it doesn't match the general vibe of the track. The background has a more mystical feel while the vocal is played to often and just makes the track seem naff in my opinion.
Perhaps if you had a female vocal that was more of a whisper you would match the vibe better? Also less often as it tends to repeat too much. Makes you think, 'yeah yeah, I remember now shut up'. ;)

Please don't take this as an attack on your ability or anything like that as it's not meant that way. But I do think a female vocal would be far more suitable.

The fact that the labels are getting back to you is excellent and it shows they know a good track when they hear it.

Cheers
