Liquified
Friday February 20th 2004
Atlanta, GA

Liquified is pleased to welcome back 1/2 of way out west and the "king" of breaks back to Atlanta for a very special night of musical bliss! Featuring a 3+ hour extende set by......

NICK WARREN
(Deconstruction, global underground, UK) *3+ hour Extended set*

You can tell when Nick Warren's on the decks. The music emanating from the man is that perfect club mix of driving percussion and soaring musicality, bursting out of the speakers, soaking everyone in melody, drenching them in sound. On the floor, where it really matters, his crowd experience all the peaks and troughs that make his music so unique. Locking on early, you'll hear his deeper take on house which morphs, as the club mood changes, into harder territory, music for sweating and losing yourself to. And at that point when the light are low, when smoke fills the room and people are dancing on instinct, that's when the melodies start to rise over the top, washing the worries and exertions of life away, completing the club experience. That's why Nick Warren is so respected, because he knows how to truly work a club, to take a crowd high, then higher again. That's what comes with vision and, just as importantly, experience. Please welcome the legendary Nick Warren back to Atlanta!!!!!!!

ICEY
(Zone records, FL)

Born and raised in Florida, DJ Icey has been mesmerized by electronic music ever since hearing the synthesizer breakdown on The Edgar Winter Group’s "Frankenstein". Rising to worldwide prominence out of the fertile Orlando electronic music scene which has spawned the likes of Kimball Collins, Jimmy Van M, Chris Fortier, and Baby Anne, Icey cut his teeth at the legendary EDGE nightclub in the mid-90s, and even persuaded The Chemical Brothers to play their first show Stateside there. When The Edge closed in 1996, DJ Icey hit the road… and has stayed on it since. Discovered by BBC Radio 1 DJ and longtime A&R kingpin Pete Tong, Icey became the first American producer to sign to his ffrr label in 1997 as an artist, and then the first American DJ to be selected to record a prestigious "Essential Mix". With over 200 12” singles under his production belt, the “King of Breaks” has SoundScanned over 300,000 units in North America alone. Playing 125+ gigs per year, Icey is a touring maniac. But that doesn’t keep him out of the studio during the week working on new tracks, constantly trying to push the envelope to make his fans sweat on the dancefloor.

well, we could do hooter's, but it's downtown, no where near the club (well, relatively), there are much nicer restaraunts closer to riviera. Maybe Houston's? suggestions anyone?
