As you could tell by my sig.....I WANT NAMES!

I hate bumping this because I'm sure a couple of people will think the track has been IDed, but then will be disappointed. =)

Anyways, I'm just posting to summarize what's known about the song:

Only played the one time during Oakey's Rojam Essential Mix in 1999.

Lyrics:

"If you drop the stone in the pond, the ripples begin to move"...
..."and they move over the whole pond"

Originally spoken by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi from "The Untapped Source of Power Within"

Other info:

Some tracklisings say it's on the Bonzai label, but I'm not sure that's correct. You never know though.
(EDIT: It doesn't sound like it's from Bonzai, read post below)

Dragon's Emerald (a tranceaddict member) said that a friend of his had it. It was a plain white label that came with a reaction sheet.

quote:
It doesn't really matter if he finds it or not anyway. This track was done by an amateur from Germany, only about 20 copies were sent out.

This track has never been signed to a label and never will be, so it would be impossible to find even after having the track title (if it was even named). The only possibility would be to get a high quality recording of the track from vinyl.

quote:
I know someone that owns the record, and he remembers the reaction sheet saying so.

Hopefully one day... =/

Its not from Bonzai, I followed that one up. Initially they said yes it was one of theirs and I nearly had a heart attack, but no its not. Its somewhat similar to another track that they had that was never released and changed names several times, but on further listening, no its wasnt :(

Good to know. Now it's one less place for me to look. =)

I sometimes wonder about Oakenfold, why he doesn't try harder again. I understand the money, fame, easy schedule he has now. I understand that. But I can tell that he loved the music he played in the 90's and early 2000's. All of his tracks seemed hand selected and purposeful, unlike today where every top dj plays the exact same promos sent out that week.

It would seem to me, after years of people asking, emailing, twittering him about classic sets like Rojam, Space Ibiza 99, Coachella 02', Goa mix, and never talking about what he does now, something in him would want to up his game again. I don't mean play old songs, or live in the past but there is plenty of incredible music made every day, but you have look for it, and love it. I feel like the production quality is really good right now but Djing is at it's alltime low. Since he obviously loved the music then, why not now? I base all this on sets I have heard years after the fact, as I didn't get into electronic music until I was 16 in 2006 btw.
