MIDI playback doesnt work

Im trying to play .mid files but they arent playing. I see the volume thing is working in fruityloops, but i dont hear anything. All other music files seem to be working fine.
What seems to be the problem? :conf:

actually i cant play the midi in fruity or reason, but i can play it in winamp :conf: |

| Right click on whatever channel u want the midi file to control, click piano roll, then in the piano roll window press control+m or click the keys icon at the top left and select file/import midi file |

| i still cant hear anything. I can see it playing on the screen as the volumes are changing, but i dont hear anything :conf: |

| Well it sounds like u mustve imported it into an empty channel or something. Or u havnt imported it properly. Are the notes and velocity showing up in the piano roll? |

Strange problem. Usually with things like this its just something simple. This is all i can think of:
Try deleting some notes and drawing ur own. Do the 1s u drew play?
Try opening the midi file in different channels
Make sure the channel volume isnt too low
Check the note velocities are high enough |

Dont see how it could be to do with ur soundcard.
Start a new empty project, open a 3xosc channel, open its piano roll and import the midi into that. Make sure u import all channels and tracks, and realign events is turned on. If that plays then theres something wrong in ur other .flp (maybe automation that u forgot about or something).
If it doesnt work, i have no idea whats wrong. |

| i got it to work in Fruity, but i havent got it to work in Reason yet. thanks for the help btw ;) |

| nothing was wrong i just wasnt doing it properly in fruity. i gotta find out how to load it in reason now, because just going 'file' 'import midi' doesnt work as it doesnt play. |
