just got the shit scared out of me

ok....so first off, my room used to be an office before we moved into this house, and i really never use the door (marked with an X) that leads outside to my car, and there's like a sidewalk going along the side of the garage leading up to it but still
so its 12 ing 30, i'm playing mario kart listening to pvd, and i hear a distinct knock at the door
FREAKS ME THE HELL OUT
my only thoughts are that it could be my dad out for a smoke and locked himself out, but the garage door doesn't fully latch so he could get in there
i'm wary but there's another knock, so i get up, pull the shades aside and look outside
dumb idea...room's bright and there's no light out there, i see nothing but my reflection and a little movement, then i see a face
and a badge
and a walkie-talkie, and all that good stuff that comes with being a cop
so quick recap: there's a cop at my house at half past midnight, knocking on my door, and i open it
and she asks for me
i was at a friends earlier and right near the way i went home, some woman called in and said three cars tried to box her in and trap her, probably to rob her or something; there was a blue car, a red car, and a gray car
needless to say, my car's blue, and my friend who was not far behind me on the way home (around the time of the incident) has a red car.
so i guess the cop heard the incident over the radio then sees me and my friend so she takes down my plates then finds my address
and it wasn't me...i didn't see any cars in the area where the incident took place, and i was there like a half hour early, but i was fuzzy on the time so i couldn't guarantee
so i guess there's gonna call the guy's house whom i was at beforehand to confirm my story and it should be all good, i told the cop to call me if she needed any more info
so like it wasn't anything bad, but HOLY
i got a bad case of the shakes now |

and i was trying to emphasize the fact that although that door's there, in the 6 years i've lived there my dad has knocked on it once and that was it
and as an aside, i've had panic attacks before, things like where i just can't sit still not knowing what's behind a door or outside of a window or something, my car's like the only place i feel safe
almost had one of those when she knocked
and i suppose the diagram was entirely unneccesary but as i was telling it to a friend they were curious and i typed it up for them, then when i went to post it here it seemed like it could'nt hurt

Few weeks ago I had a knock on the door which was strange cause I live in a secure building. Didn't really worry me at first though. Could be a neighbour or whatever.
Open the door to find 2 officers asking if anyone has been calling emergency from my appartment. I say no, they go away. Didn't think any more of it.
An hour later I am in the middle of sorting thru 4 different substances for an ecpected 12 hours of clubbing and there is another knock. Fortunately, and not even shore why I did, I threw a cloth over the whole lot, open the door and there they are again.
"We are still getting police emergency calls from this address and would like to have a look".
I figure I could say no, but it's going to seem suspect and they are only going to come back again with the proper authority and potentially do alot more than a walkthru.
Anyway, would have to say those couple of minutes had me a little more nervous than usual. What with a mixture of class a's within easy reach and all. |
