ok im sure this question has been posted before, but what is a good program to use to record my sets onto my computer. i want to be able to listen to my mixes on my MP3 player. are there any programs out there that you can download for free to record from a line in to WAV or MP3? Thanks! |

I think most audio editing programs have a record function.
Just checked WaveLab and Acid Pro and they're both good for recording... dunno about others tho. |

You can even use the standard windows recorder and then convert it to mp3 with the db convertor (very usefull prog, dl it here. Sound forge, cooledit, should all do the job |

I use Cool Edit Pro which is nice and simple to use |

My favourite is Total Recorder, from High Criteria. This can record straight to mp3, even using the LAME encoder (if you download it and put the DLL into the same folder as Total Recorder).
Personally, I always record to WAV, but Total Recorder has never let me down when recording (often over 2 hours straight) whereas some other programs (Sound Forge) I never managed to get reliably recording much over an hour. |
