It's a hard slightly distorted sound sound that cuts of very quickly with no release. It's used in a lot of energetic/uplifting tunes. Please help if you can :) hey cheggy tr-909. You can also use a strong snare, distort, reverb, take a bit off the amp attack to its not as sudden and give it a bit of a tail with some reverb. Works really well to give a driving sound.
