Using .cue files to burn MP3s... what program? How?

| Anyone here versatile in burning CDs from MP3s using .cue files? I am currently using Cool Edit Pro and 2000 to hack apart MP3s... On one hand, I can master the files so they sound best in my car, home stereo and computer, which is very nice, but with boatloads of sets and albums (upwards of 100) on my hard drive, using a program like Cool Edit can be slow when the schedule is busy... SO, if anyone has a quick explanation about how that works, or another solution (I haven't tried MP3 cutting programs yet, but I am about to in 5 minutes)... I would be very grateful to find a swifter method of burning a CD in multiple track fashion (maintaining the flow minus 2 second pauses)... |

cdrwin <----- www.cdrwin.com or www.goldenhawk.de
push burn cd ---> load cue sheet ----> burn the cd
cdrwin will split the liveset exactly as the cue file is
im not a specialist on this since i have only used a few times myself
but thats what i did, when i burned livesets with cue files

well.. i use cdrwin
first make ur cue file
convert ur mp3 to a wav file. (most ppl think u can just burn straight from mp3. you cant. u must decompress it and make itinto a wav file)
load the cue file in cdrwin making sure the wav and cue file are in the same dir
burn
voila - instant cd |

| OK, I am starting to get an idea here... I didn't have the WAV file in the same directory, it was in a different one... but do they have to have the same name... I am gonna try again... |

OK... I have a wave, I have a valid CUE file, and I have the wave in the same folder next to the same cue sheet... they are both named the same thing... And all I get when I burn the CD is 65 minutes of fuzz and nothing even close to the phat beats laid down by Mr George Acosta live at Sunshine Teil...
So what am I doing wrong? |

With cdrwin you do NOT have to convert to WAV. cdrwin WILL burn direct from mp3 files. cue files are MUCH easier than cutting up mp3/wav files with a splitter program.
