So what does everyone do on new years eve? have fun, right? well that's what i wanted to do after i got off work at 10:00 PM, but it turned out to be one of the most frustrating nights of my life.
Headed out to pasadena with 2 friends after work in the area where they have the rose parade every year, because I had heard that it's really fun to be down there when the clock strikes 12. so we got there around 11:50, just in time for the new year. we got off the freeway, and turned onto colorado blvd where everyone was partying and having fun. a young girl (maybe 13) took some silly string and sprayed it at my car. "no big deal," i thought. it was just silly string. then i start heading up the street a little more, both sides are FILLED with people blowing horns and screaming, and then all of a sudden a i see a beverage just kinda make its way past my windshield coming from the right. so i look over and then hear something hit my car, my friend said it was an egg. so i stopped and backed up to yell at the kid that apparently did it, then about 15 kids just start throwing whatever they could at us. eggs, mustard, chocolate syrup, and cherry syrup. take note the windows were rolled down, we had no time to roll them up. and also there were tons of cops around, but no cops saw what happened so i just sped off, trying to avoid anymore projectiles. there was nothing i could do, i was totally outnumbered. so we stopped at a gas station to assess the damage. I had about 5 eggs splatter onto the rear right corner of my car, there was mustard on both of my friends who were both wearing brand new jackets. egg in my friend's hair, chocolate syrup, cherry syrup, and egg on the leather seats, and on the plastic panels inside the car. for those of you that dont know, egg yoke is extremely damaging to your paint. so i had to get it of asap. there were NO drive thru car washes in that area after searching for about a half hour, so we had to drive another 30 minutes to anaheim, to go back to my friend's hotel to wash off the car with a hose and to clean it out, then i headed back home and went thru a drive thru car wash at 3 AM. so overall a horrible new year's eve.

there's justice in the world, god or whatever forces will make sure that those kids all get their asses kicked sooner or earlier, lol.
anyhow, sorry to hear that, mate.

That sucks!
I worked from 8 pm till 4 am... we opened the doors to the club early because it was NYE. I got to listen to the countdown from the door :stongue: |

If it's any condolence, I had a ty New Years as well.
I was sick for exactly ONE day of the year 2003...what day was it?
NEW YEARS EVE!:whip: I had everything planned out, was supposed to DJ and MC a massive house party hosted by some DJs in Jacksonville. Champagne and blunts were all prepared.
So I wake up Wed. morning with a temperature of 103. I have ing influenza...WTF!?!? So I stay home, cancel my plans for the party and the girl I was supposed to meet and bang before the party, lol.
So I end up watching Adult Swim, which I figured couldn't go wrong...then...THEY CANCELLED THE BRAK SHOW!!! NOOOOOO!!!
Yup...this is just about right on plane with the rest of the past year. |

Here's where you went wrong. You had 2 other options, both are better than what you did.
1) Get out of the car, take a screwdriver or something and run like a madman into those kids and stab some of them.
2) Pull the hand brake, rotate your car 90 degrees, and smash it into the crowd. |

Option no.2 works best if your driving an SUV :D
BMW i too had a lousy NYE. Got sick a few days before, had to cancel on a friend (damn was she pissed) then i just wanted to sleep trough the new year but with all the noise going on outside that was out of the question too :whip: |
