I'm sorry but that's plainly bull if by "people" you meant the "general public." If by saying "people" you meant "a few people," then I would agree with you.;) |

The part about him trying to pass his brother off as a service member is choice, especially when he was found out to be completely wrong, and then berated the newspaper for printing the story exposing him. |
How is this any different from what George Bush did during the 2000 election?
Lying about his time in the Texas Air National Guard, lying about his drink-driving conviction, lying about spending time in prison etc... |

There was never an attempt to mislead in any of those cases. In particular, with the drunk-driving charge, Bush immediately acknowledged its truth once the charge was raised. The immediate acknowledgement probably mitigated the issue enough to save him the election.
Re: Howard Dean, he has made flat-out lies, and then attempted to defend them by making personal attacks against the authors of the stories. Not only is that dishonest, it's downright mean.
The whole bit with his brother was the worst - not only was his brother not in the military, he was a peace activist who had visited with the Communists in Laos. Dean knew this, and for some reason, thought he could pass it off as if no one were keeping track. This is Dean's biggest problem - I think he still thinks he's playing to the tiny electorate of Vermont that doesn't have the capacity to check all of his facts. Now he's out on the deadliest political stage in the world, and hasn't changed his methods. |

Hmmm lemme think about this one ... ummmmm no! ;) Well, I just got back from an extended weekend of skiing in Vermont and let me tell you, my hatred for Dean has grown ten-fold and here are the reasons why:
a) It is vermont state law that you must lower ski lift bars.
b) I was scrutinized by bar tenders, quizzed, and asked for secondary forms of identification when attempting to drink.
c) We were accosted by Vermont state liqour control board officers at a beer market.
d) There is a 9% food tax when you go out to eat!!!
e) IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR YOU TO HAVE MORE THAN ONE DRINK AT ANY ONE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look, after point e I simply rest my case ... vote for Clark. Either that or vote for whoever the governor of New Hampshire is:
a) No sales tax
b) No income tax
c) Beer/Liqour is cheap |

If I recall correctly, N.H. was considered to be the "most free" state in the union by the Libertarian Party. Gotta love those Libertarians:D |

Yes well the libertarian party has offically sanctioned New Hampshire as the state to champion the libertarian cause. The "free state party" has issued a call for all libertarians to move to the state of New Hampshire in order to affect change from the local level, then grow that movement to the state level. Part of the reason why I'm libertarian, is because they don't sit on their asses to merely bitch and complain :). New Hampshire is especially attractive when you take into consideration their state motto: "LIVE FREE OR DIE". At any rate, they're calling for free markets, sex, guns, and drugs.

How can you argue with that???? (And don't you be one of those "liberals" rejecting this idea to advocate for more restrictions on guns, increased taxes, and more market regulations :p ) |

d) There is a 9% food tax when you go out to eat!!! | you mean sales tax? if so, then i pay 8.25% here in cali everytime i go out to eat. if .75% more can pay for everyone to have medical coverage and give everyone more benifits, sign me up. to tell you the truth even though i eat out alot, i wouldnt mind paying an additional 9% for having a better society overall.

| Well, Dean is the most promising candidate out of the whole bunch. If Bush gets re-elected, the economy of the country will be even in larger strain. |
