I ordered a Stanton SMX-401 Mixer, but the store was out of stock, so I can either wait a few weeks and just get the 401, or I can get the 501 for the same price.

Good idea? Seems like it. Looks like it has everything the 401 does but better. Wanted to make sure with some people that actually know something about this stuff first though.

No, not a good idea. The 501 is more of a battle/scratch mixer, whereas the 401 is a house/trance mixer. If you are planning on mixing trance and end up with a battle mixer you will wish you had waited. Get the 401.
