| Like the thread says, anybody heard of this guy or know where he spins or anything, when I lived back in England, Plymouth to be exact, he played a fair bit there, and I gotta say, I think he is an awesome DJ, I recorded afew of his sets from the radio that he played on, the radio was called Plymouth Sound, and they had a part at the weekend called Club 97, and he span on that, I don't know much about him, I think I heard that he plays up around Birmingham and afew other places, well I just wanna find out since he was the first Dj I ever heard mixing this music, and was the one that made my mind up to be a DJ, I really wanna find out what hes doing now, and I'd love to see if I can find some sets of his to download, to me he was the best DJ in the world, I never enjoyed sets as much as his, so if ya got any info, please say. |

Hello again,
I've got some help for you again. Jamie is still in Plymouth. He doesn't play in Birmingham to my knowledge, he does play at the millenium Complex in Plymouth still i think, well he was there last time I went. I dont think he DJs out much anymore though as he has a kid.
You can check out his productions though!
JCS - Dreams (Single Minded) - produced by him, Craig Brooks + Steve Edwards
and 3 Way Action - I Can't Wait on Mohawk Recordings. Again produced by him and craig and steve.
All the best.

Oh cheers man, much appreciated, I remember that track JCS, but couldn't remember what it was called, good to find out, I'll have to see if I can get it aswell as the other one, thats sad to hear he doesn't play as much, I think he is an awesome DJ, I listened to Edwards and Brooks lots before, there both good DJs aswell, oh man its good to get kinda upto date on whats going on, I used to go to Millenium Complex abit, nice club, remember Jamie playing there, never did a crap set, but I spent most my time across the road at Nemesis in Jesters, listening to Steve Fudge, he was a good DJ and a good guy, but Nemesis has been shutdown so I dunno where he spins now, but anyway thanks for your help, and was just wondering, do you live in or near Plymouth?.
EDIT: Oh yea, that JCS - Dreams, just so I am remembering the right one, its got the female vocals that say "Be with me in my dreams" yea?, I think thats it, but dunno for sure. |

Have done for all my life (grew up and constantly lived in Plymstock since birth). However I am now at uni in Yorkshire and will probably live there once my degree is done. I am back in plymouth at the moment for Christmas/New Year and will be going back up north next sunday.
Steve Edwards was wicked, but I was more into Chris Davies, John Richardson, Tom Costelloe, Terry T and Carl Cosby when they were on the radio they used to play it right out.
Steve Fudge is a really cool chap, he is still working in the HMV and I have seen him play a few times in the last few weeks at the Dance Academy in Plymouth. It is wicked there I go there loads, resident DJs Tom Costelloe, Kev Rose, Richard Wright and Terry T are all fantastic. I was supposed to be going Dance Academy last night but had a sleep instead.
Who else do you remember/where else did you go?
If you are into your trance look out for a track I've produced that is out on Promo at the moment. DJ Ultra + Louk - "Forever" it has a remix by Marcos.

p.s Yes that is right about JCS - Dreams. A quality little tune.
Craig Brooks set up a label with paul Honey called Forward Force, not sure if its still running.
In Plymouth there arent many labels now, but there is a new techno one set up in Ivybridge of all places which looks very promising.
Cheers
