Why bother?

dunno if a thread like this has been made but anyway.
Ive been thinking, from the looks of this place there seems to be people who can sound design, arrange well and EQ very well, read music and work their ears well. All of these things.
And Im wondering, why do I bother. I cant do these things half as well as half the people here and in practise now. I can do most of these things only half of what most can. With thousands of people making better music than I ever can, people who dont even have a record deal. Why should I bother, shouldnt I leave it to the fully talented instead of faking my way through with presets, messy eq settings and 'Lucky-found' melodys?
Im not saying this out of self-pity, Im just wondering....why? |

| Im sure you just need lots more practice, dont let it get you down, if you enjoy it then keep doing it, and you never know, you might make a hit! But I guess you need lots of good equipment to make good songs and these cost money which can be a big problem to most people. I've not even started producing yet, still saving money up to buy stuff but still learning of the stuff I have got. |

Yup...its a form of self expression. Admit it. After making a tune that you spent a lot of work and time on, you feel proud at what you accomplished, whether you get any recognition or not!!:D
That's the pay off!
And ...well...recognition is nice too! Post it here, and these guys will at least tell you something thats good about your piece!
Now... CHIN UP... WIPE AWAY THAT TEAR...AND GET BACK IN THERE!!!!:whip:
