i am loving the melodic chilled sounds to some film soundtracks lately. i am looking for any other similar soudtracks to:

gladiator
black hawk down
bladerunner

any help appreciated
Mosaic
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

not exactly the same style as stuff you posted, but awesome stuff none the less: Lost in Translation
Hequn
Requiem For A Dream OST

not really a soundtrack, or very related to what you want, its more orchestral and melodic, yet very intense as it gets further on, like a story in itself. Bloody good stuff :D
Vigilante
Hackers has a great soundtrack, including the classic track "Orbital - Halcyon & On & On"

Stanza
The first 2 are composed by the well known movie score producer Hans Zimmer.

Check out other movie scores such as The Thin Red Line (absolutely magnificent), The Last of the Mohicans, 1492, The Mission, The Crow, Enemy at the Gates

Maybe teh "Lord of The Rings" movies?

Those always seem to add so much more to the movie...

Hmm Hackers soundtrack is a god damn good soundtrack lol
Ghost in the shell, Metal Gear Solid 2, Final Fantasy 7, Zone of the Enders Dunno why imma mention this one but the soundtrack for Requiem for a dream is cool... a bit weird... Not many people have heard about this anime but it's called Berserk, my favorite anime but the music is kinda good...
mr. poopyhead
