yesyes i know this is a trance board..

..but before writing trance my main passion (and still is) is drum&bass. not the hard stuff though, but the atmospheric style. with my love for trance, i use it a lot in my drum&bass work so here are some tunes that i hope some of you guys can comment on from a trance mindset perspective (and i know some of you guys are into drum&bass anyway).

Suni & Phorte - Time After Time (3.0mb @ 64kbps)

Suni & Phorte - Eastern Shores (3.2mb @ 64kbps)

ive already been signed to a few local d&b labels in australia but both these tunes are currently being looked at by bigger labels overseas so *fingers crossed*

i like drum n bass...always wanted to produce it too, can never keep it flowin though :(

downloading...will comment later...

cheers will be looking forward to your comments. :tongue2

not bad, the leads seem to not really fit the track, but it was a nice attempt to nonetheless.

also u might want to think of variation in the tracks, as the percussion was similar between both tracks :(

not really what i was thinking, but i was looking forward to jump up drum n bass with trance leads...meh maybe i'll think of something in the near future :p

not a bad attempt though...
Phorte
thanks for listening mate

youre the first ever to say the leads dont fit.. :conf: but jumpup? hahaha nah thats why i said in the topic "atmospheric". ;)

again thanks for listening. :D we're getting a lot of attention from a few atmospheric labels for these tunes.. cant wait to see where it goes..

here's another one if ure intersted with a 'different beat'..

Suni & Phorte - Submerged (2.9 MB @ 64 kbps)

I like mellow and prog d&b, but of course I love trance much more.

So I heard this and loved it!!.... sounds like awesome production you got there. It's a nice change to hear this trancey stuff without a steady 4/4.... I'd like to hear this at a lounge.

what's the bpm you use for this stuff? and what do you produce with?
Al Cordero
Wow, sounds amazing :gsmile: It took me somewhere else...
ezbeats
i also love atmo dnb
ever listen to 'weird energy' by hype? its kinda atmo, plus i think youd like it....
they were pretty good man
eastern shores was the best i thought, then submerged <<== GJ!!!
didnt really like time after time too much

those three songs were between 168-172bpm.. harder style d&b is usually around 175bpm or so but i find that with atmospheric its better to be <170 as it gives the opportunity to put more detail into the beats and melodies..

for those three tunes i used cubase sx with reason 2 rewired into it.. all software.

and again, thanks for listening guys! :p
