I just foned up Dell tech support, to get put through so some middle asian type sounding person who knew seemingly not a lot about computers and was more than likely reading the online tech support faq. Nevertheless comp was fixed by a technical tap lol. It has to be said tho, foreign call centres are less then helpful, especially as it took me a good 15 mins to get through to an operator, when it took me all of 10 seconds to speak to a human when buying the ******

I heard that they had almost moved the whole of national rail enquieries to call centers in the far east.
I just think it unbeliveable that companies saving a quick buck think they are providing their customers with a satisfactory service by directing them to people so far removed.
Help lines are e, some, namely the smaller ones do actually provide a good sevice, but the others, (my current pet peeve is telewest). The automated services, that take detail after detail (i think virgin do this too?) to 'save time' when really we would actually like some customer care by an actual human being, who regarless of their interest in customer services may give more of a than a machine because they are geting paid too.
*rolls eyes to heaven
damn the man with the corporate buck bring back localised companies. |

Foreign call centres are pieces of they don't work. A lot of good people at work my work lost their jobs due to call centre operations being moved to India. Its the Indians to ing blaim tbh they watch a couple of episodes of eastenders or whatever e soaps and they think they know everything about the culture of the British Isles, when we can't even understand them.
India is the country your calls go to its cheap labour but the people who work in these call centres live like the Indian middle class.
It makes me ing sick they should start their own industries just because their country has a ing ecomony.
Call me harsh but the government seriously needs to step in on British companies moving their customer service operations to the UK. |
