I did a New Years Day Mix with few of the best records from 2003. I hope you guys enjoy it.

Just like to say i've downloaded a few New Year mixes off this forum and this has by far the best tunes in! I would agree with nearly all of the track selection. You've definatly included some of the best tunes of 2003 in my opinion!!
I've listened to most of the mix and it's nearly all fine. However I noticed a couple of transitions seemed slightly off. This is only a minor point though as most of the mixing is spot on!
Did you use mp3 mixing or did you use decks?? just wondering cos I can't get hold of some on vinyl. |

i really love the turn out the lights song of m.i.k.e.
i really like to close my eyes with that song and just to listen to it.
would be cool to play with you one day.

Thanks so much guys. I'm waiting to buy decks anytime soon and I do own all of those songs on vinyl. I mix mp3s but I beatmatch myself and only use mp3s I own on vinyl.
Thanks so much fred. Yeah that mikes song really goes off. Its the peak of my set, as the set builds and builds and then around 59min mark it explodes with that song. I was mixing and I got up and just started dancing and going nuts! After that I needed a song that kills the dance floor so I played Traffic! :)
Hehe one day if I get good I would love to play in a cub. This is only my 3rd real mix as I have been doing it for pretty much a short period of time. I practice as much as possible as I love music alot!

from traffic i play mostly the max walder remix,cause here in holland the like it fast and uptempo, it's more a hardhouse scene overhere.but when i played in jakarta a few months ago and there they like the club version more. just vist my website and if there are songs you really wanna have on mp3 just let e know then i'll send them to you |

Sounds like the Original Mix to me.
A really good mix dude, I enjoyed it a lot.
Only thing I noticed was that the mixes in an out of Traffic were pretty badly off, also Traffic sounded strangely bad quality as a whole compared to the others. Why's that? |

I have a white label North Pole (Nickelson & Maurice Night Remix) which sounds same as the (Original Mix). I'm not sure anyways until I get my own turntables to get a decent listen, coz when I listened to it in the shop it sounded same.
I'm glad you noticed that I made mistakes with Traffic. I found it hard to beatmatch out of Traffic becuase the kick has this sucking noise which extends its sound and kinda tricks me. I'm still a newb so I need more practice. I think the file that I used might also even though its 192kbp. I'm gonna have to get another copy or something. :) |
