I'm not even boycotting travel to the US. It's just that Toronto and Canada in general has everything that I'll ever need. Beh, do tell of your adventures with US customs next time I see you. :)

Exactly. Toronto pretty much has everything we need and more. :D And as for holidays? Why go to the US ( apart from wmc :toothless*)? Europe and other parts of the world are more fun :p

Hi, I just came back from Mexico, and I had no problems entering.
I just had my Canadian Citizenship card with me , and my polish passport, but caus of the canadian citizenship they gave me no hassles, otherwise i might have been in deep doo doo.

aha you remind of what my grade 12 politics teacher said to me way back when..

"Canada is probably more socialist then any communist nation there ever was"

I actually have to agree, I do believe there must be a balance between socialism and capitalism. The welfare state ideal is a relic and needs to be not totally scrapped but modified drastically

No offense to permanent residents/landed immigrants (my mom is one):

This has been in the news for the last 12 months. Follow the rules - get the card, don't worry. This shouldn't even be ~news~; it didn't spring up 3 weeks ago. :eyespop:

ah, yes.. say hello to your politics teacher. Socialism? It's governance, or should I call it exploitation, restriction :clown:
Let's bring up the ideal state - anarchism; who was it that said these words: society can only advance when people feel able to question authority and tradition..? Whereas, in this supposedly ideal system, the public just accepts it - it doesn't even question it, or let alone oppose it.. therefore, communism at its strongest = when the masses don't even realize that they are regulated by The Big Brother :stongue:
