I tried to do this as a poll but it wouldn't work for some reason.

Personally, I think that trance tracks with lots of vocals sound cheesy - especially when the lyrics are "love" etc. Keep the vocals to a minimum like the vocal version of DuMonde - Never Look Back though and it can improve the track imo.
There are exceptions to the rule, eg. Motorcycle - ATRC ;)

Vocals sometimes ruins the song.

yeah i dont like many vocals either, i do like them in the build up to add some more... substance? to a song, but vocals are a necesity. my girl likes very few trance songs w/o vocals so im thankful for them, otherwise it'd be dave, live, and dido 24/7 in her car... oyyy im so tired of those same 6 or 7 cds....

It depends on the song. Sometimes i like them sometimes they make the track ridiculously terrible. The first song that comes to my head that i hate is "Time of our Lives"

for the most part... vocals take away from the main melody of the song(being their own of course)... and so rarely do they actually work.

sometimes, mostly not.

There are some songs out there that I can't imagine without vocals. A couple of them are: Oceanlab - Sky Falls Down, Thrillseekers - Dreaming of You, Armin Van Buuren - Burned With Desire.

I do admit though sometimes I hear a trance song that sounds really good and then the vocals kick in and I have to change the song / channel cause it sounds horrible. So all in all, it depends on the song. Sometimes vocals can add a lot to a song and sometimes they can completely ruin a song.

i love vocals when they are from justine suissa, she has an incredible sound!!!! But when i hear other vocals, yes sometimes they ruin a track, sometimes they spice it up... depends on the track i guess, and the lyrics+voice of the vocalist..
