Sup WATA's. I been into the WA party scene since FN7, and it seems like most people are into Breaks an DnB, I was at the NYE party last week, and the trance room was pretty empty. It's kinda sad to see. I got into DJ'ing also and I'm somewhat disappointed to see that later on if I get good enough I might not have an audience here. :(
Please tell me this isn't so.
BTW heard that Tiesto is coming to vancouver????anyone know the date? cause if true I have to be there. Thanks. Lates.
Hondaswaper
most people that like trance in seattle like it just the way it is ;)

who wants every 15yr old H.S. "raver" to say they listen to trance
DJ Dingel
From the east side perspective, everything other than drum n bass is struggling in Spokane...
PhloTron
From my side...both kinds of music here are doing great.

Country and Western.

Tiesto is supposed to be touring N America in June/July he said. Not sure about any of the locations though.

I didn't think trance existed anywhere in Seattle other then my basement :conf:

As much as I don't like studio B, i'ma have to check out trance night this fri.
and hella yeah for mardi gras, i'll be there.
grooveside was ok not much in the trance dept tho. the dj that played the main room from like 10-12 did play some trancelike tunes tho, i think skylab made some trancey stuff too. just not enough. maybe its a good thing, cause i for one will never say that trance is dead/dying, like alotta people on the main music discussion forum do.

Where are there are there any decent record/cd shops for trance in the seattle area?

No Clue :( . I order all my stuff from www.chemicalrecords.co.uk
takes like 7-10 days to get here. now that the holiday season is over it like 7 days.

Yeah me too. Also www.juno.co.uk and www.nrgmusic.com are good. I've been up to Platimun on capitol hill and they didn't have anything i was interested in really. I've heard that Frequency 8 is better, but i don't expect that i'll get new releases through them any faster or cheaper than i've been getting them from overseas.

For trance don't forget that you have MarQ and Magnus. You can find them at every TRWicked event among many others. MarQ is opening for Oliver Lieb in February so you can catch him there next. Also watch out for Kai too. Trance is far from being dead in Seattle.
