Ok, my internet bill is usually $AUS25 a month for 56k (yes i know its alot), but today i just recieved a bill saying that i have to pay $ 200 for this month because i went over the limit of hours.
Now i'm on a plan that incoporates the unlimited downloads and hours scheme
They basically told me that on the plan i am on only makes you go up to 200 hours which is alot still but thats not unlimited. Now they tell me i spent 282 hours in this month, i actually laughed at them but the s hanged up on me. Now that means i have to spend 9.4 hours a day just to get to 282 hours. Now thats impossible cause i'm not even allowed to use more than 4 hours a day in this household and any other household member using it just goes on that 4 hours, bla bla bla...

now look at that plan that says $24.95 and it says that nothing will be charged if you go over, they told me i got charged 2 dollars per hour extra i went over but i'm obviously not on those above plans..
They tell me if i don't pay the 200 they take me to court and bla bla bla...
what should i do...are they making a mistake?? |

Dude, i think you shouldn't worry. It sounds like they are making a mistake. You have to ring them up again and try and speak to someone who will listen to you properly.

How could you possibly face a $200 bill, when it clearly says that you are capped at a maximum of $39.95 per month.

According to this, you shouldn't pay anything for extra hours.
It is not your problem man, you haven't done anything wrong as far as i can see.

Cheers mate, i was actually fearing that one small factor that they might have been right but the more i look at this situation it just confuses me..
I talked to them 3 times today..and they all said that "you owe us 200 bucks", thats before i realised this price thing on their website...have to ring them tomorrow in regards to this and i'm looking forward to their excuse..
and i'm gonna get that fired that hanged up on me...ing lowsy customer service. |

| hahaha I'd love to see them take you to court for $200. Them saying "I'll take you to court" is such an empty threat. I wouldn't worry mate, they're just trying to scare you into coughing up despite them obviously being in the wrong. |

OMG how ing stupid is this, i rang up again showing them the information on the website and they said that because i'm on the GOLD account, the unlimited scheme doesn't apply to me...now i remmeber i was paying 25 a month, but it seems to have dropped to 23.95 a month a few months ago....NOW she tells me paying 23.95 doesnt get you unlimited ...but if you were paying 14 bucks a month you would...what the kk!
This is ing retarted...i remmeber i cancelled my account last month and reconnected it with the 25 a month plan BUT they go they have no proof i said that ...is that my ing fault....
No way i'm paying 200 bucks for a mistake in their system.
Now them saying that i'm not on the unlimited plan really pisses me off cause it's just a massive ing scam because when their some kind of limit, don't you think they should even tell me.
I went off at the Manager saying that they are frauds and , and he tried to finish his sentence off and i hanged up on him, hah take that fags.
On the site it doesn't say about the Gold account and what you have to be aware of too...ing useless. |

dude, seriously, that won't get you anywhere.
looks to me like you're right, but instead of going all pissy about it, be calm stay on top of things, because that way YOU are in control and not them.
call them up again or get your parents to do it and tell them that you're on the $25 plan, and if they changed it to some other weird $23 plan, it's their ing fault, besides, tell them being online for 10 hours/day is ing impossible - your phone company probably keeps phone records, i don't know how accessible those will be, but in case you do go to court, you might wanna think about that. |
