I finally took the plunge!
After bugging all you guys on here the last couple o' months about what sequencer prog to buy and what is a VST and which software accomodates plugins and which dont and ....
I did the research you told me to do and went shopping....you wont believe the deal I got. CHECK THIS>> First I found a M-audio Audiophile 24/96 sound card new in the box that someone in British Columbia got for Christmas but didnt know how to install it right. Got it on ebay for $190 CDN (no taxes and shipping was free!!);)
Then I found the real prize!!
PROJECT5 COMPLETE WORKSTATION SOFTWARE UNREGISTERED AND UNOPENED
non-academic version... for only $267.00 CDN on ebay again. He paid for shipping too!!
Now tell me I didn't get a sweet deal!:happy2:
I'll give you guys a complete review of the software once I break it in, as no one here really has said much about it!

| I live in Canada, a new Audiophile goes for 209$ canadian at most music shops. With taxes you ended up saving 50 bucks. good deal. I never tried the project 5 so i really can't say if it was a smart buy. good luck :) |

trancenrg69 i pmed you like a month ago but....
yeah .. my local shop wanted about $800 CDN for Project5 -- can you believe that? Its about $299 USD plus shipping and duty (GST) from Zzound, so...pretty happy bout that!

| I use the audiophile 24/96 also, it's a great card with an excellent sounding line in. I don't have the project5 software, but I do have Sonar 2 (legit) so I'm not too far behind. |

Can you 'splain this?
I assume you mean a midi keyboard to input musical information and notes into the sequencer?
I was assuming I could use my Korg Trinity for that purpose.

yeah..i already read that...didnt really answer my question though. And is it a problem that this prog doesn't record audio?

what does that mean? sounds kinda like...
