Well my worst fears happened last night against utd, Ricardo Gardner, maybe the most underrated player in the country for work rate was injured in a tackle with darren fletcher.

Bolton await Gardner injury verdict

Ricardo Gardner is being assessed by Bolton's medical team after appearing to damage knee ligaments in the defeat against Manchester United.

The full-back was carried off in the first half of Wednesday night's Premiership match after falling awkwardly - and the Jamaica international arrived at the Euxton training complex on Thursday morning on crutches.

There are fears he could be for the season, but assistant manager Phil Brown said: "It is far too early to say.''

Brown added: "Ricardo has been one of the shining lights in our season. He has slotted into the left-back role like a fish to water.

"He has taken to it very easily. He is the type of guy who can play anywhere.

"Ricardo is just a genuine guy, and we all wish him a speedy recovery from his injury.''

To lose him for any length of time will be totally gutting for us, so lets hope for his sake that he's not done much damage, ligament injuries are always nasty :(
