OMG! DO NOT SEND THE LETTER, and McDonalds? are you 12? man. Stop being so shy, just go up to her and be confident. That is what girls like. Tell her you are going to take her somewhere, dont ask. Maybe make the food yourself.
The thing is though, no girl on earth will like a letter no matter how witty or clever it is. So, in recap. Ask her in person, be confident, do something cool instead of something stupid and average.
