hey,
i was in the shops the other day right and i saw this global underground cd for like 12 bucks (AUS) and i was like what (normally 40+)... checked it out its like this album sampler from all the global undergrounds and it goes for like 70 mins and they mix all these selected songs from all the differant sets (oakenfold, Digweed,Warren,DE vit) and it came out really well its like its on album (hey it goes for 70 mins! and its all awsome tunes) and i was never turned onto the Global Underground cd but this 'sampler' cd (its called Departures, GlobalUnderground) really turned me onto it the tracks ive really taken too are Tastexperiances 'summersault' (but ive always loved it :P), Liquid Language - Blu Savannah, Taucher - Waters etc so i was wondering which Global Underground Series (cause im gonna get at least one now :P) you would reccomend i get? i heard diggers is awsome? but is that right for that style that i like? |

Try Sasha - GU013, Ibiza!

| Danny Tengalia is amazing! GU010 Athens is the best global underground by far!!! (in my opinion anyway!) :D |

hey man, Departures was definitely the first one that got me into it. none of them are really LIKE that cd mixed by The Forth
but nick warren captures a very similar sound. all the djs are so different, you really have to explore
it expands your musical education and tastes for sure tho :D
the only one i dont like is tenaglia's GU.. i thinks
check oakie 004 (new york?)
sasha gu13
dave seaman cape town
diggers sydney (01/06) same album, different release title |

Diggers is good
Sasha is excellent
Nick Warren is pretty good
Oakenfold in N.Y. is OK
Tenaglia in London is way too slow for my tastes

| I have almost all of them so if u need, just PM me. I love GU019 Digweed in LA. But there are a lot of them that are really good. |

| yeah, I suppose the Tenaglia GU's would be too slow for tranceaddicts!!! :D |

Oakie 004 (New York) was one of the first CDs that turned fullt into trance. It was great when it came out, since at the time there was barely any CDs of trance.
My favorite would have to be Sasha 013 (Ibiza), just an amazing mix and track selection. come on, who wouldn't be moved by: BT-Fibonacci Sequence, Cass & Slide-Perception, Sasha-Xpander (1st time I heard this, whoa), and of course Bedrock-Heaven Scent(I stopped in my car coming home from the mall and listen to the entire track again).
GU was a great compilation, just lost its touch with my taste. I went a little mainstream nd dacne, they went "Underground"
