Hi there i am 15 years old and this is my production called "cogent" this is only a sample and would like some feedback i also apreciate negative feedback because then i know what else to improve!

In my opinion the synth you're using is way to high-pitched. I'm aware that there have been a few proffesional and released songs with teh same or similar sound, but I disliked those for the same reason, so perhaps i'm a bit biased. Also, the bassline could be brought up a little, i thought.
Listening to it again... the main melody really over powers everything else. I usually like to have the beat a bit louder, but if that's your style, go for it. |

Yeah that synth is really annoying sounding IMO.
You're also brutally out of key man, the melody doesn't match the bassline at all. You need to read up on some musical theory big time. |

thanks for the feedback! this is more of a "arrangment" than anything else i havent botherd with levels yet just more intrested on your thoughts of the melody and basline etc
Baring in mind what you have sed go here Cogent(sample-2) this still isnt leveld but the melody has new sound as is lower pitched and has alot harder beat |

Seeing your 15 years old, I won't see the need to bash you. And seeing your attitude on this thread, it sorta changes my opinion of you automatically.

But, I won't be biased. If your stuff is good, it's good. But, it wasn't. The bass was totally off key, and the main melody was cheesey, and annoying. I think you are on the right track as an artist, but don't start becoming an ass too early, or else your heading in the wrong direction. -Mental |
